Energy Boosting Smoothie

Skip the morning energy drink and prepare your own natural energy boosting smoothie. Energy drinks are unhealthy for many reasons. They lack any real nutritional value and instead are full of unhealthy chemicals. They are also very high in refined sugars which cause the mid-afternoon energy crash that we are all too familiar with. While refined sugars leave us feeling lethargic. Natural sugars do the opposite, making them the perfect energy boosting ingredient.
This pineapple smoothie is the perfect way to start off your day. Providing you with the vitamins and energy you need to make it through the morning, without the crash of conventional energy drinks.
Pineapple contains vitamin C and bromelain. Which are natural anti-inflammatories that help lower inflammation and boost energy levels. Pineapple is also rich in vitamin B6. Which helps stabilize blood sugars, as well as thiamine which helps convert carbohydrates into energy.
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 thick slices fresh pineapple
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk 
  1. Wash and chop celery. 
  1. Peel the pineapple and slice into thick pieces.
  1. Add celery, spinach, pineapple and almond milk into a blender, and blend until smooth.
